2011-2012 PTA Fundraiser Information

Dear Parents,

This year the PTA is planning to support so many different programs. A few of interest to your family might be; Bingo Night, Daddy Daughter Dance, Mother Son Challenge, Movie Night, Arts in Education, Lego Leagues, Planet Science and Chess Club. We’re excited to see you all participate in these great events!

We are hopeful that you can help us raise money to offset some of the costs of these programs. This year we have decided to offer two options in hopes that one of them will work well for you. Understand that we are asking families to choose one option, not to do both! Please read on to better understand these options so that you can determine the one that works best for you.

Option 1: Great American Catalogue Sale:

Pass the catalogue to family, friends and coworkers. You’ll find all sorts of gift wrap, jewelry, kitchen gadgets and food items to be purchased. Order forms should be completed and returned to school by October 18th to ensure delivery before the holiday season. A percentage of what you purchase will be given to Scribner PTA from Great American. We discourage door to door selling.

Option 2: Check Writing Campaign:

Busy families need quick and easy… this is for you! Instead of selling items, consider donating directly to the PTA. We’d like to suggest $35 per family- whatever works for your budget is appreciated. In the memo line, please write “Fundraising”.

Don’t forget to bring your empty bottles and cans to EZ Bottle and Can Return (http://ezreturn.org/), located at 1259 Fairport Road. Specify Scribner Road PTA as the recipient of the money for the container deposits. The Scribner Road PTA will receive a check each month that the balance is $50 or more!
