Light the Night- A luminary event to benefit the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf
Help light the night in Penfield for a great cause!
As many families struggle with food insecurity in our community, join your fellow neighbors to create a ribbon of light fundraiser to benefit the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf.
Each luminary kit comes with 10 bags, 10 LED lights and sand for $15.00.

Volunteer Opportunity – Boosterthon/Dance Fit Committee
Big school fundraiser!!
The Scribner Boosterthon – Dance Fit Committee is looking for two more volunteers to join this 7-person committee.
This committee coordinates local business sponsorship as well as promoting daily wellness and exercise for the two week long event.
Volunteers also help distribute daily prizes as student fundraising goals are met.
Planning starts in January. It is approximately a 20 hour, in its entirety, commitment per committee member.

Volunteer Opportunity – Drama Club
The Scribner Drama Club Committee is back and looking for two volunteers to join this committee.
This committee supports the director, Ed Rocha and his staff from Bravo Creative Arts.
Duties may include but not limited to securing additional volunteers for the weekend of the performance, stage needs and volunteers for practices.

Volunteer Opportunity – Reading Program
The Scribner Reading Program Committee is looking for four more volunteers to join this 6 person committee.
The reading program is a 6 week program that encourages our children to read each night and aims to make reading a fun and educational part of each day.
Each year a theme is chosen around which the program focuses.
Planning starts in February and the actual program runs from April to mid-May.
Total time commitment is 8 – 10 hours.

Planet Science registration is now open!
Planet Science is an after school science enrichment club for 4th & 5th graders.
The purpose of this club is to provide interactive science enrichment for any interested fourth and fifth grade students.
Planet Science strives to be an extension of the school curriculum that teaches students science in a fun, interesting way.
Registration is limited to the first 60 students only.
