SEPTA Liaison

SEPTA is a group of parents, teachers and school administrators that serves as a resource to families of children with special needs. The group provides education to parents and the community on Special Education issues and services. SEPTA meets once a month. Visit Penfield SEPTA which provides information, links and several resources to parents and members of the Penfield community.

Responsibilities

  • attending monthly SEPTA meetings
  • acting as a liaison between Scribner Road PTA and SEPTA
  • promoting SEPTA involvement of Scribner Road parents

TIES Program

The TIES program (Together Including Every Student) is available to students in the Penfield School District. TIES matches student volunteers in grades 8-12 with children and young adults ages 8-21 who have developmental disabilities. TIES gives students with developmental disabilities the opportunity to participate in extracurricular and community activities.

Penfield SEPTA works closely with TIES to help promote the program. TIES Program
