This is a quick guide on how to install and log into Microsoft Teams on computers.

Download & Install Microsoft Teams

1. Download appropriate version of Microsoft Teams here:
   https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app
2. Run installer

Signing into Microsoft Teams

In order to sign in, you will need two things: your child’s user ID and password.

User ID

User ID consists of 2 digits for high school graduation year, first initial, last name, and @student.penfield.edu

Use the following chart to find out graduation year

For example, for Jane Doe that starts 3rd this year, user ID will be 30JD@student.penfield.edu
For John Doe that starts 4th this year, user ID will be 29JD@student.penfield.edu

Password

Password consists of capital first initial, lower case surname, and last six digits of Student ID

Student ID is different from User ID above and can be found in Parent Portal

For example, for Jane Doe with student ID of 001001234, password would be Jd001234
For John Doe with student ID of 001009876, password would be Jd009876

Student ID

If you are not sure how to get student ID from Parent Portal, follow these steps.

1. Log into parent portal
2. Click on “Today” from menu on the left
   
   It will take you to a page with child’s picture (if applicable) with along with Student Number.
   The student number is student ID.

Once you have user ID and password, log into Microsoft Teams
