Black History Month Week 3 – Lebron James

Scribner Road is celebrating Black History Month featuring 1 important person per week.
Students can submit a short sentence or picture to enter weekly raffle to win the book of the week.

This week, our final week, we are featuring Lebron James.

In 2011, James began to think about his hometown of Akron, Ohio and how he could help students there.
He created the “I PROMISE” campaign, which led to a new school.
The school, which opened in 2018, grants free tuition to the University of Akron for all graduates who achieve at least a 3.0 GPA.
